Charity is said to begin at home. The devil understands this. This is why when he wants to attack, he starts from the basic of your stronghold, your mind. Jesus said “the devil has searched me and found nothing in me. Just like Jesus instructed His disciples to start from Jerusalem, the centre of their nation to preach amongst their people first before spreading out to the rest of the world. Transformation starts from the inside, before it spreads to other people. If it can be stopped from spreading inside, it will be stopped from manifesting outside. The devil knows this and this is why his attacks start from within. He attacks your mind thereby distorting your thoughts which makes you to make the wrong decision. There’s a saying that goes: ”He who has no rule over his spirit is like a city whose walls is broken down”. The state of your spirit regulated your actions which decides your manifestations. Your spirit is within you. Controlling your spirit/mind is the foundation of self-control, this is why the devil hits it first.

When he wants to strike, he looks for platforms within in which he can express his mischief. When he doesn’t find any receiver within to which he can transmit, he now looks for external factors he can use.

The devil couldn’t get to Jesus that is why he used an external subject to carry out his plan. When the devil can’t get you directly, he attacks your business, family, he uses your wife, husband, children, relations etc to get to you because he couldn’t find anything in you he could use. He then hires a second party who he can use. This can be seen in the bible in the life of Daniel. The devil through the governors looked for a weakness in him that they could use against him.Like, corruption, folly, bad habit etc. When the could find no internal loophole, they now launched their offence from outside, that is through the decree they initiated.

The devils first ground of attack is inside(Your Jerusalem/your home). He infiltrates your camp, causing internal sabotage. Causing domestic terrorism. Just like a civil war weakens a nation compared to a war in which another country attacks. The external attack makes the people of the country to unite and ward of the external enemy. This in turn strengthens the unity of that nation and we know what people can achieve when they are united. It is in the same way that an internal attack weakens you while external ones strengthens you when handled properly.

Just like terrorists attack countries like USA,britain etc from the inside. So does the devil. He enjoys espionage, he spy on you looking for ways to destroy vital internal strongholds like your peace of mind, joy, health etc. When his internal operations are halted, he then launches his attacks from outside. A place he believes you have no control over.

This is why God warns us not to set our heart or store up our treasures on things on earth, things that can be destroyed, things the devil can get to. But to store it in heaven where he can’t reach it. If the devil hits the right external which your heart is on he gets you. Your heart is inside but what the heart loves can be outside/earthly. If you set your heart on things of this earth, the devil will look for that thing which you love and strike it so that he can grieve your heart which is inside. It’s like blowing a neighbours fuse box or transformer that is outside to cause a blackout inside or cutting the phone wires(Thank God for mobile phones) to cut you off from the outside world, from calling for help.

Be cautious, always watch and pray because the devil is looking for the right external action to take to get the internal reaction he desires and also internal delicate to infiltrate. Guard your heart diligently!!!

It's easier to be a servant than to be a master.

It Kills Marriages/Relationships

Employment will undoubtedly be on the top 10 list of marriage/relationship killers. The man loves his wife, but he doesn’t have time to show it. The wife fills neglected and gets suspicious and overreact. On the other hand, the woman loves her husband but her job doesn’t give her all the time she needs to express it. The couple loves their kids and want to spend more time with them but they don’t have the time to put into that project to see that it happens. The parents are afraid to quit their jobs because they are not sure of another one. This are clichés that ruin families because the best investment you can make in a person is not monetary. You have to invest quality time in one another in other to understand yourselves and respect your differences.

Suffocates Your Own Dream

You fulfil the dream of someone else and not your own. Everyone has a dream, something big you want. Getting a job suffocates your dream. This is worse if it’s a full-time job. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t help your boss fulfil his/her dreams. That would make me an enemy of progress. I am saying that if helping someone else fulfil their dreams stops you from actualising yours, you should keep away from that person and his/her vision. Allow people build their lives, in fact help them build it, but don’t allow them indirectly ruin your. You can get too busy tending ones garden that your garden starts to grow weeds. Spend more time building your life than building someone else’s. (Sometimes building someone elses life gives you the experience you need to speed up your own project) I could say that you can get a job temporarily, just for the experience but it can be very enticing. The people of isreal went to egypt because of the famine, but the stayed after the famine. Egypt can become too comfortable that cannan became undesirable. This is how people get entangled with a job they took temporarily. it’s easier to be a slave than to be free. It’s easier to work for a person than to have your own company. If you want to get a job just for the experience, you have to be strong-willed.

Your A builder Not The Owner

You notice that only few masons own their own houses. They build for others but don’t have theirs. They only fulfil the dreams of others and when the work gets done they become dispensable. This is how most employees are, they build the houses of others and might never have theirs.

Do your best to avoid getting a job. If you must get a job its okay, not everyone can be that great.

Don’t get me wrong, everyone have the capacity to be great, but not everyone is ready to embrace the challenges involved.

At every point in your life, remember that what you need to learn far outnumbers what you already know.

Our impressions and understanding of people is not based on their ability to explain themselves, but on your ability to understand them. A television with a local cable will not be able to get foreign channels. The wave of the local channel is on the air, so is the wave for the foreign channel but the local antenna is not advanced enough to tap into the foreign wave.

The problem is not Gods inability to be seen, but our inability to see Him, it’s not His inability to be heard, but our inability to hear Him just like the problem is not that the foreign channel is not on air, but that the antenna is not programmed to access the wave.

Just like you need to upgrade the operating system of your computer before certain programs can work, it is in the same way that we need to upgrade ourself and mindset before certain information can flow through you and be understood by you. There are some mindsets you will have and you won’t be able to enter the circle of the wealthy. The state of your mind determines the state of your life. This is because the state of your mind determines the things (information) that can flow through your mind, the information you have in turn determines your decisions which dictates the state of your life.

This is also applicable in our dealings with people. People understand only the things that they are advanced enough to understand. We receive only what we have enough space to accomodate. Gods riches is infinite but our capacity to receive is limited. eg: your rich uncle hears that you lack water, he sends a 50000 liters of water to you. But the container you have in your house can only carry 2000 liter of water. You will receive the water not according to the riches of your uncle, but according to your capacity to receive. So is it with people and God. We don’t receive according to his eternal riches, but according to our limited container. A 500 gigabyte file will not enter a 150 gigabyte hard disk and a windows vista cannot operate in a Pentium 3 system unit.

We don’t always see things the way the are, rather we see things based on the state of our mind, based on our ability to understand it. No method you use in teaching will make a 6 months old understand geometry, not because it can’t be understood but because he/she is not yet advanced enough to understand it.

When you stop expanding, you stop receiving. When you stop growing, you stop understanding. Always stay teachable(Open minded). At every point in your level of knowledge always remember that what you don’t know far out numbers what you know. This way you keep challenging yourself to new heights of development.

All results gotten from an action is right, but not all actions gives a desired result.

A person who takes sleeping peels falls asleep, whether he/she likes it or not. You give away your will power when you decide to take those pills. When you take food that is poisonous, your stomach will get upset without your consent. It is in the same way that when you have a headache and take a drug, your headache subsides without your go ahead. When you take an action (willingly or unwillingly), you surrender your will and yourself to the effect and consequence of that action.

Success is inevitable if you take a certain set of actions. It doesn’t matter if you take them knowingly or unknowingly. It doesn’t matter if you want to be successful or not, when you take those actions, you have surrendered your will power, and the law of cause and effect does its lot. Failure can also be inevitable if you take some actions.

Right actions bring about the right reactions and wrong actions also brings about the right reaction. No reaction gotten as a result of an action is wrong. That you got an undesirable result means that the action you took is not the action you should take but the result gotten as a result of the action whether desirable or undesirable is the right result in respect to the action you took. All results gotten from an action is right, but not all actions gives a desires result.

If you search, you must find somebody who didn’t seem to qualify for a post, but he/she got it because of a certain action that was taken.

It doesn’t matter what people say about you. You future is determined by what you do and not what people say. Discover your prefered realities and find out those things you need to do to get there. If you can find and do those things, then its only a matter of time before your desired reality manifests.

Growth in humans is not just an increase in physical size, rather its an increase in every feature and component that makes up that person. This includes both visible and invisible features such that they progress equally and correspond accordingly. eg ones knowledge might grow faster than his/her body, this is more acceptable than vice versa. Not everybody we see is growing proportionately. What we see is the obvious increase in size. The increase is one aspect of growth in relation with other aspects that need to grow.

A person is growing in size(this can be easily identified), this doesn’t mean that the person is growing proportionately as he/she is supposed to. Growth entails increase, but we mostly see growth as an increase in size. This is a misconception of growth. If someone grows internally and that person is not growing externally and vice versa, that person is not growing proportionately.

There are internal growths this include: mental, intellectual, emotional etc growth and external growth, this are: body size, change in voice etc. For you to grow proportionately, your internal and external must grow proportionately.

Some growths are by force while others are by choice. eg everyday you wake up, whether you like it or not you get older but it’s not everyday your level of knowledge and understanding increases. What you feed the most thrives the most while what you don’t feed dies. Most people feed their body and starve their mind and mental faculty of knowledge.

Some growths cannot be stopped but they can be controlled. ie you can’t stop your body from increasing in size, but you can control it. It is in the same way that when we are feeding ourself with knowledge that we should mind what we take in. We should put our minds on diet so that it doesn’t get obsessed with junk knowledge. As you mind what you read, so should you mind what goes into your mind. Doing this will keep your inward and outward growing healthily.

Have you seen a grown man talking and you ask: is this man insane, this is because his knowledge doesn’t match his size. On the other hand you will see a young person talking and you wonder :how could someone this age know things like this.

In essence, let your inside match your outside.

Convenants can't be broken but they can be replaced.

That you left something doesn’t mean that it has left you. eg: You decide to leave a bullet wound untreated, it doesn’t mean that the bullet wound will leave you in turn. Ignoring your problems doesn’t make them go away. Leaving an infection doesn’t cure it, infact it makes it spread.

Am not saying that you should focus on your problems. Far be it from me!! But am saying that you should acnowledge the problem and focus on a solution.

You don’t turn a blind eye or walk away from something you don’t desire. Instead you remove it. You don’t just decide to walk away (decide to ignore) from a character you don’t like, you remove it.

But it doesn’t just end there. You don’t just remove it you replace it with something desirable because nature abhors vaccum. Jesus told a story of a demon that was driven out from a place and the demon came around later but on seeing that the place was empty reocupied the place but this time it came with reinforcement.

This brings us to the subject of convenants. A lot of people are bound by convenants they didn’t enter but were put into. Just like when you destroy a tree/seed, you didn’t just destroy the seed but it’s decsendants. That is thousands of trees and seeds/trees that was inside it and when a seed is planted it’s descendants are also released. In the same way that when a tree is destroyed, thousands of it’s offspring is also destroyed so is it that when a tree enters a convenant it’s descendants are also inserted in the convenant. So when a person makes a convenant, his descendants are bound by it because at that time they are still inside him and are still a part of him. Because of this a lot of people are bound with convenants they wouldn’t willingly make because when it was made they didn’t have a choice. The worst part of it is been ignorant of this convenant. Suffering and not knowing why you are suffering. But when a child is born he/she is now seperated from the parents. Due to the fact that you are now seperate from the origin you can now disconnect from it. But when it was made, you were still part of your parent, inside them, choiceless. Just like you inherit things from your parents, not just biological traits but spiritual traits.

Leaving an ancestral convenant is not what counts, what counts is what you are leaving it for. You don’t just leave a convenant you have to replace it with a higher convenant. I can only recomend one that works, that is entering a convenant with Jesus christ.

A governor who leaves office and retires incures the risk of been crushed by his/her enemies in the government house(This is one of the reasons why politicians retire quite late). Also a governor who leaves office and enters the office of a mayor is going to suffer in the hands of his enemies in the government house. When you leave something (An ancestral curse/convenant) , do well to go for a higher substitute. When you leave the government house as governor, go for presidential, senate, federal seat somplace higher. Then your foes in the government house will desist from you knowing that you left them for a higher power, a power capable of crushing them. It is in the same way that when you run from an ancestral convenant/curse, you look for a higher convenant. A curse is not just removed, it’s replaced with a blessing. I know of one i can recomend, that is that of jesus christ the son of the only living God, that is the highest convenant you can ever enter(The name of the lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into and are safe).

Case Study: The isrealites left the convenant that was made by there ancestor Abraham with God. They forgot and left Him and went for lower convenants with dead gods. But God didn’t leave them neither did He forget them but was always with them even in exile and punished, because of the convenant, a convenant their fathers and not they made. The isrealites couldn’t enter a higher convenant because they were connected to the highest one. Also if you noticed in the bible, people that left their gods for the true God lived in peace (ie: Abraham and Rahab) while those who left the true God for smaller ones lived in torment (eg: Isreal and judah)

Convenants are not broken, they are replaced by higher and better ones. they that are in Christ are new creatures behold old things have passed away and i have made all things new(2cor5:17)

In the end i think it might be safe to say that convenants are broken or that they are broken when they are replaced with higher ones.

A Christians life doesn't end in the church, it starts there.

Religion teaches us that if you are to choose between going to church and give our offering or give it to a beggar on the road that we should give it in our offering. It teaches us that going to church is more important than helping people. God values people, He sent His son to die for people and not for any building. People are important to Him so if you claim to serve Him, what is important to Him (people) should also be important to us. If you give in church and you don’t give to help people, your giving is invalid.

Note: In the parable of the good samaritan, the priest abandoned the wounded man on the road but was on his way to the temple for service. How touching.

Don’t let your light shine only in the church. In fact the bible says that your light is meant to shine in the world that men might see it and give glory to Him. Service in church is good but we should try and find out what is more important to Him and make them our priorities.

Religion teaches us that we should rely and wait on God to do everything for us while the bible tells us that we are co-labourers with Him. This means that we do our part while He does his part. The idea on waiting on god to do everything for you promotes laziness and failure in christiandom and this makes christianity unatractive. “God won’t do for you what you can do for yourself.” Another thing we should avoid is circular humanism that teaches us that we should rely on ourself for everything. In things like this you will need to strike a balance. (Avoid extremes)

As my coach will say “Don’t be religious, be relevant” !!!

True religion requires that you be relevant in the lives of people because your relevance to people shows the relevance of God and the need for christ in their lives.

The love you have for God can be measured by the love you have for yourself. When you hate a product, you indirectly disdain the manufacturer of that product. In the same way when you hate yourself, you get resentful towards God. This is one of the reasons God said: How can you love me when you don’t love the men you see. Loving God cannot just be expressed by what you say to God nor what you do for him. But by what you do for yourself and the people around you but esspecially yourself . If you are gentle with yourself then your love for God is manifest but when you are harsh with yourself, your love for God is questionable.

Have you ever answered a phone call in a market place or carnival, have you ever heard the question didn’t you hear me call you? and the person replies: no the place was noisy. Have you ever tried to call somebody at the other end of a busy street and the person walks out of sight without hearing you. Some of us don’t hear from God nor listen to our instincts because we are in a place where there are too many sights and sounds. This is why we should endeavour to have quiet time with ourself and our God. To do this you have to discard every opinion you have heard so that you can hear Him clearly. You have to desist every proposed imagination that have been proposed to you so that you can see the clear picture. Away from voices you might mistake as His.

Some people when the want to answer a call in a noisy environment leave the noisy place and enter the bathroom, an alley any quiet or less noisy place where the voice of the caller is distinct. In the same way when we want to pray or evaluate ourselves we should do well to go to a quiet environment. This is not always a physical location, it could be a mental location. Why do you think we have phone booths? This booths are sound proof. Why are people required to be quiet in learning houses ie. libraries. Because contact is been made with someone (in phone booths) and contact is been made with knowledge (in libraries) . The silence is intended to make you hear and think clearly. In the way that a phone booth is sound proof let our quiet times be interference proof. Sometimes the interference and noise is internal. In form of worries, anxiety, obsessions etc. In cases like this we need to find a stronghold through the help of God where we can shut off the sights and sounds.

Have you seen a couple spending an intimate time at a carnival or rally? They do it at a restaurant, at home etc where they are all alone with each other. If it’s in the midst of interactions with other people it’s no longer an intimate fellowship. You could call it quality time but not intimate fellowship.

Group prayer, bible study, counselling and worship is good but don’t let it substitute the time you spend with yourself and your quiet time with God.

God can tell you anything anywhere but you cant here everything everywhere.

You live where your spirit is but stay where your body is.

Don’t live where you stay if that’s not where you want to be!!

Where you live can be different from where you stay. Some people stay in the present but live in the past and vice versa.

Jesus stayed on earth but He lived as one who is not of the earth. He even said: You are in the world but you are not of the world.

If for reasons beyond your control you find yourself with the wrong people, undesirable environment etc either in your family, community, school hostel etc, you will have to stay there, but whatever you do don’t live there!!!

Don’t let your decisions to be made based on what is happening around you, to the opinions of the people. Don’t make your plans based on this undesirable influences.

Rather tie your decisions, way of thinking, plans….. to the place where your mind is and not where your body is.

What dominates your mind dominates your plans and decisions.

Think more about things you want not neglecting what you have. When you find out this things you want meditate on it and work towards it.

Meditating on God’s word has brought me a long way. It have saved me a lot of torments from the outside world. I read the great promises of God concerning my life, store it up in my mind and dwell (live) on it. Because of this all my actions are being tuned based on His word and not my present circumstances. This in turn directs my future based on what i work towards.(His perfect plan for me)
