Evaluating Your love For God

May 13, 2010 at 12:45 pm (Christian Posts, Relationships) (, , )

The love you have for God can be measured by the love you have for yourself. When you hate a product, you indirectly disdain the manufacturer of that product. In the same way when you hate yourself, you get resentful towards God. This is one of the reasons God said: How can you love me when you don’t love the men you see. Loving God cannot just be expressed by what you say to God nor what you do for him. But by what you do for yourself and the people around you but esspecially yourself . If you are gentle  with yourself then your love for God is manifest but when you are harsh with yourself, your love for God is questionable.

The Importance Of differences in unity

April 4, 2010 at 12:00 pm (Relationships) (, , , , , )

A tree is united but have different parts with different functions. A car is united but have different parts. The body is united but have different parts with different functions. This makes me understand that there cant be unity without differences. Our differences as people is what makes us to unite in the first place. The church is there so that the different people in it can build it using their different gifts. This coming together is to enable us back up ourselves in our shortcomings. Unity doesnt mean uniformity. That your united with a person doesn’t mean the two of you should think and act alike.  No . It simply means that your different thoughts and actions should be geared towards the purpose for which you came together. If a tree was filled with only leaves, it will die. It needs the other different parts to perform different functions. This is why big successful organisations have more departments that perform different functions. In everything you do (relationship, forming organisations etc) do well to accomodate differences in people. Don’t force people to act like you and do things your way, instead try to use their way to increase your ways of operation.
